School Photographer In Catford
I Did Post This Earlier, In General Chat.
I Think I Put It In The Wrong Place. It Was An Item On London Tonight, About A School Photographer, He Asked All The Kids At The School, To Get In Lines In The Order Of Their Colour. He Had Them With The Darkest At The Back Coming Down To The Lightest At The Front. His Reasons For This Were," It Saves Him Having To Change His Camera Settings" As This Was In Catford S E London, I Am Surprised He Didn't Start A Race Row What Are Your Opinions On This ? |

Re: School Photographer In Catford
Certainly an interesting one
![]() I have to admit to having a little chuckle to myself when I first read it but I can't imagine this was nice for the kids

P-e I Could Not Believe The Man Could Be That Stupid, Surely He Is Capable
Of Adjusting It In Photoshop. I Don't Think He Has Heard The Last Of It. |

Re: School Photographer In Catford
Apparently it was when he was doing the individual shots and he didnt want to spend time editing hundreds of shots afterwards. The school said (i think) that he didnt want to keep altering his reflectors

Re: School Photographer In Catford
This is the first I have heard of this story but from the information supplied it sounds like a beginner masquerading as a professional TBH. I doubt that (s)he was being racist.

Re: School Photographer In Catford
Not very nice for the children to be segragated in this way, if he had any sort of control over his camera, he could have adjusted his settings. I've never heard of this sort of thing before & can't imagine the dolt will get any more work.

Re: School Photographer In Catford
Lazy so and so...
Had he arranged his lighting for a low contrast ratio he wouldn't have had problems as the skin tones of all the kids would have looked fine (assuming he could be bothered to get the exposure right in the first place). Sounds like someone, yet again, who isn't a real photographer doing a pros work. Les |
