Do you use screen protectors, if so what kind, What are the glass ones like, Can the plastic ones be put on without bubbles or misting, can you evaluate your shots through any of them.

Re: screen protectors 40D

I use one of these...

EXiM SPOC Screen Protector-Canon EOS 40D D-SLR(2 LCD s) on eBay, also, LCD Hoods Screens, Digital Camera Accessories, Photography (end time 14-Aug-08 19:58:41 BST)

You have to line it up carefully when applying, but it goes on without any bubbles. Avoid the very thin ones which do trap bubbles very easily.

You can now get glass ones - Giottos do them and they're very expensive. There are also some on eBay...

GGS LCD Screen Protector optical glass fo CANON EOS 40D on eBay, also, LCD Hoods Screens, Digital Camera Accessories, Photography (end time 11-Aug-08 17:54:57 BST)

... which are much cheaper, but I've not tried anything like this.

Re: screen protectors 40D

PM me your address and I'll post you a high quality " stick on " one. They dont get bubbles, and are as clear as glass. They have no adhesive so must stick by vacuam

They are done by JRC and you can get them dirt cheap on fleabay.

I have one on mine and although you would think a plastic film is cheap, these are very thick and resist scratches. They also come with a protector for the top LCD display which the glass ones don't.

The one fear I had with glass ones is how thick is the glass and it's darn close to your face if it ever cracks and splinters.

PS Silky I just get white pages from your links

Re: screen protectors 40D

I can also recommend the JRC ones. I have had one on my 40d now for about 2 months and it shows no signs of coming off. It is a bit scratched and I will replace it soon. It must be doing its job. I bought a pack of 10 on ebay from HK, they cost about 3.50 including postage . It was a "buy now" sale so I would do a search for them. They may still be available.

Before that I had tried one from Jessops. I do not remember the brand name but it was just rubbish and cost about a fiver for one.
