Hi I was watching the Stargazing Live on the BBC last week but missed the part whare they use a webcam to take some movie clips on to the laptop. Can any one tell me what Webcam was used the webcam had a screw off lens so one can fit a telescope bracket into the lens so one can fit into the telescope to take the pictures
also there is a webcam stacking web page whare one can get free software to use

Thanks any info on this will be grate

Re: Taking pictures with Telescope

I will have a look into the webcam for you and post it up a little later.

The easy thing first is the stacking software. The one most Astronomer use is called 'Registax'. Just Google it, it is completely free.

What telescope are you going to attach it to? It might help me find a webcam.
