Text info in PS

hi
if this is in the wrong thread, please move it. I am looking for some help in using text in CS2, i put a Title to a picture i was about to print, but found it wasn't in the bottom centre, i just couldn't move it at all.
would like a small tutorial posting if poss, but advice will do.

Go to view and show Ruler. Select Text tool and using your ruler place your marker dot in the centre of the photo. Type your title, adjust font, size etc and click Centre Text. Jobs done.

If it's the same as CS1 I'd do this....

1. Type the text and make sure it's centre aligned (it should appear on a new layer).
2. Position it vertically by eye.
3. Select the background layer, then link the text layer (in CS1 you click the link box but in CS2 I think you CTRL + click).
4. Go to Layer > Align linked > Horizontal Centres.

That should do it.
