Are there any medium or large format users here?
If so, maybe we could have a new section for this area of photography?
As a specialist in the area of LF, I would welcome interesting discussions in this side of the game. Regards Les |

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
I'm an occasional MF user albeit only with a TLR. Bronicas are dropping in price almost to reachable levels though!

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
Yes I do use MF (6x9, 6x7, 6x6, 645) and also have a Cambo Legend plus a homemade 5x4 wooden field camera that I got from ebay.(although I haven't used it yet)

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
From the above replies, it would appear that there is virtually no scope for LF on this forum.
Thanks to those that responded! Regards Les |

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
I do some stuff on MF sometimes, using my Mamiya RB67. I haven't used it in a while though as I'm not at uni so can't develop the films for free...
I also use LF too, although that's only at work with the digital scanning back. |

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
Just restarting after a digital absence!
![]() I currently use a Rollei E2 and a Hasselblad kit (150mm on it's way from Ffordes as we speak) and am thinking hard about doing 6x9 Velvia. I have to admit that I've never got on that well with 5x4. Back when I worked in a studio (a very long time ago) my boss thought I was joking when I asked if I could rig a harness from the lighting pipes so I could hang upside down to view the screen. When he found out I was serious, all he managed to say was "haysus kerist" (I think I caught that correctly but he was suffering some kind of choking fit at the time). As he had Polish antecedents, I assume this was an east European compliment to my powers of lateral thinking.... ![]()

I use both a Fuji GW 690 111 and a GSW 690 111 and the results are superb. The cameras are just like big Leica's, extremely easy to carry about and use. |

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
I also have "previously" used MF - minolta - but since been swept away by digital! Problem is, old school is great and basics won't change... kind of like riding a bike, but digital evolves so quickly these days you spend an equal amount of time keeping yourself educated about what you have, what it does & where its going to be in the next 6 months! Especially once you factor in the software like photoshop etc. I guess what Im saying, is that while I loved learning on MF, I'm not sure I'd ever have the time to go back!

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
In college, sometimes get to shoot with Mamiya RB and RZ's. Also had some (not much) practise with Bronica's.
All rather jolly. |

Re: Are there any medium or large format users here?
Most of this thread is utter gobbledegook to me (once again showing my total ignorance) - but I really haven't the first idea what you are all talking about.
