Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
I have one for my Canon 40D and it's worth every penny spent.
They work at a range over 30ft and so far mines done me proud. |

Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
I got a wired one from e-bay for £4.88 inc postage. Half pressure focus and a lock for time exposures too.

Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
The first one i received unfortunately was DOA, the ebay seller did replace it (cost me postage back to HK) and received an updated version the receiver has a hotshoe mount and extra features on remote. Used it on about 3 occasions now and am very impressed with it.
If you can look out for the updated phottix remote, worth every penny. |

Have the canon version. Works well (so far). For the price it is a bargain.

Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
I have one and although it feels a bit flimsy it works well. I got mine from the same supplier the good news is that they shipped the Cleon which also doubles as a wired remote. I now no longer use the ML-3 at all (Of course the Cleon/N1 can't do trap shooting). I do still use the MC-30 at home but the Cleon is plenty good enough for travelling for wired or wireless.

Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
Yes - mine is working too, but one of the components came with battery already inserted. Will have to have a close look to see how to change it. I was amazed at the price and very pleased with it. I used it to take the water droplet shots - it performed well even when used up to 50 consecutive times.

Re: Thoughts on Phottix Wireless Remote ?
I am very pleased with mine. I use it quite regularly with my D200 and have had no problems. It has been really useful for formal wedding shots, as you can continue banter with the subjects, whilst checking overall composition
The build quality is ok and the Cleon is far better in this respect than the previous version. For the price, I don't think you can go far wrong. Oh and I got mine from the same dealer - good service and comms and arrived in about a week ![]() HTH Alan |
