I've added spaces as we don't allow links to personal web sites in posts, but if you put the address into your browser you can see it.

Whipspeed and FionaB also use Photium. Customer service is exemplary.

Do you want straight hosting or one with all the designer bells and whistles? If it's the former I can recommend Daily and Streamline (but they're not free )

I use Vidahost for my website. Never had any problems and straightforward. It is a competitive price as well.

I've been with Photium for 5+ years now, since they started. Brilliant service, never had a day offline, easy to set up and the support is excellent. I've had the full package for a few years, but with giving up the sports photography will be downgrading a bit from next year.

I'm quite happy to develop my own site but there will be stuff that the template type ones would help me with. Online sales etc.

I suppose it would be good to use a template to get started and then tweak it or upload a new one at a later date. To be honest stuff like iWeb on the Mac can whip up a starter website in no time at all but I'm not sure how the links into stuff like payments work at the moment because I've never done them.

Payments go into my Paypal account.

People can use the contact me to specify size, finish etc, but the site has got sizes and prices in the ordering process. If you take a look and click on one of the buy me links you will see. You won't have to complete the transaction!

Not sold any yet but I'd use cardboard tubes for postage.

And I assume that they provide all the templates etc so you just fill in the boxes and upload your pictures?

What level of service did you go for then Graham.

You pick the style that you want. There is an admin page where you can create portfolios, upload pics, add text to various parts of the site and edit/delete stuff too etc. There is also a FAQ where you can get most of the info you want and a blog where improvement to the system are announced.

There is 30 day free trial so you can have a play around without obligation.

It looks a good service for sure.

I work with a load of 'super geeks' as we do a lot of internet based systems for our clients. I am just going to have a chat with them first and then make a decision.
