Westonbirt
![]() Westonbirt is worth a visit. I took this yesterday 15/10/07. There seem to be mixed opinions among the trees as to whether or not it is Autum yet. Some have even lost all their leaves already. |

Re: Westonbirt
Good idea, it's certainly the right time of year.
For those of us that live further north Thorp Perrow Arboretum near Bedale in Yorkshire is also worth a visit, great time of year for Autumn Colours and fungi and there's a Bird of Prey centre there too. cheers Dan |

That's nudged me as well. We have family from overseas staying so a visit to my local winkworth might be just the ticket.

We went to Bodenham Arboretum today for the first time. See Welcome to Bodenham Arboretum & Visitor Centre.... Fascinating place if you are into trees and it has a good restaurant. I don't think that it has reached its peak for massed colour yet (17/10/07) but there are lots of individual highly coloured trees. |

Thanks for that info Bill. We went to Westonbirt today, probably similar show as Bodernham as regards the extent of colour, I took over 200 shots anyway.Lots of maples at their peak and a wide variety of colours. .I was amazed the amount of people there but its a large area so was not crowded. |
