what flash
as most if not all of u know i got a canon 400D recently............. what i want to pick your brains on is.. what flash should i get? and where from?
Someone wants to buy my 9500 from me, now although i didint really want to sell it, i DO want to get a flash fro the canon, and the only way to do it is to sell the 9500.....s o whats the best flash to get and where is the best place to get it from....bearing in mind i do NOT use paypal. TIA Fi |

No probs on the Paypal front Fi, I can sort that out for you.
I would recommend you get a Canon original though there is a good Sigma that is dedicated to E-TTL II so you could go that route. The Canon 420/30EX (depending on what you get best price for) would suit you down to the ground. It has good power, it has a swivel and bounce head and couples perfectly with your camera meaning you will get much more reliable exposures. I'll check out a couple of the obvious places and let you know what I can find. Either way I am sure your 9500 should cover it ![]() Cheers, Rob

Bit surprised you after a flash Fi, as jusging your shots to date there seems to be very little use of flash
I would have thought some monet towards a nice Sigma 10-20mm lens might be more up your street ![]() Saying all this , you may be like myslef who just recently bought a flash to try it out .....must admit I would not put it ahead of lenses I wanted & am currently struggling to find the kind of results I want from flash . I've been so used to to natural light, with shadows etc, it takes a bit fo getting used to

thanx guys......... have got my shopping list all made up..... so ust hve to wait until after the holidays and hope the fella comes up with the cash......
dave yep u are right, i dont use flash that much. but i have a few things coming up this year that sure as damnit i will need a flash for so i reckon it would be a good chance to get it without having to pay out of my own pocket........ can get the 430 and a nifty and one or two other things for the money i am getting for the 9500. so all in all it will be a good sale! ![]() fi |
