Emailed Grays of westminster see what they would give me as a trade in against a D300.
Basically i got a 18 month D200 with a grip two batts all the bits and boxes also a D70 with all the bits and boxes. How much against a D300 with a grip

"Sorry due to high volume of D200 etc best we can do is £300 for the D200 and grip
and £50 for the D70".
Basically i think they are avin a laugh! I even bought the D200 from them in the first place

That's the trouble with this 18-month upgrade cycle lark - there's so much good s/h equipment around that nobody wants. Well, not at a sensible price, anyway.

As the proud owner of a Canon 10D in as-new condition (cost over £1000, valued at about half a crown now) I sympathise. You will do better on eBay, but you probably won't get what they're really worth.

It's worth putting them in the Classified section here - nowt to lose.

Boy am I glad to hear this sorry ar*sed tale! Now I don't feel so bad that I am sitting on over 20k (at cost years ago) worth of pro gear that all needs that funny, old fashioned stuff called FILM and its now all worth sweet f*** all!

Good to know that the digital pride and joy of last week is also this weeks rubbish and not worth a dime!
