As a change from the White Peak we are thinking about going to the Wolds Way (north of Hull) this weekend - we have not been before and are mainly interested in flowers, birds and insects.

The dry valleys between Huggate and Thixendale have been suggested but has any one got any other suggestions.

As we will be driving from Huddersfield somewhere in the part of the South of the Way would be good.

Aghhhhh! You reminded me! The orchids are just up the road and I haven't been up there for a few weeks!

After discussion with OH we have decided to go to the Millers Dale Area instead. At least we know our way around there. Will leave the Wolds to Sunday perhaps.

Have you ever seen Green Winged Orchids in that area I have look but not found any.
