Pleasure!

Sorry for any confusion! We've introduced a few new things recently and, as always, we'll see how things go and deal with any teething troubles.

I'm sure it will be a very useful addition, thanks Crew

Re: "Example shots" Forum

Well, I guess the important thing is that we've introduced something new in response to suggestions, and so far nobody is beating us with a big stick because it wasn't what they meant.

I'll leave this thread open for any constructive comments on the new 'Shots for reference' forum - the first couple of threads in there look very helpful.

Re: "Example shots" Forum

Like the idea but not the execution.

Trying to force this into the forum system isn't, in my opinion, going to work in the long term. Better to hack the gallery software so uploaders can set their lens info at that point - or pull it from the EXIF where available.

Then all we users need to do is search the gallery for a specific lens and the appriopriate images are shown. It'd be even better here than pbase (you can delete the competitor name once you've read the post ) due to us already having images categorised into "subject" - something that isn't possible with the other plaice.

I'd be happy to help with the PHP side if you wanted to do it properly - I ain't a php guru and am still learning but I could help.

Re: "Example shots" Forum

P'raps try it both ways over a few weeks to see which way works better for us? A bit of extra work for Crew for a short time (sorry about that) but could save a lot of work/trial and error in the future.
