General photography chat

Hi guys,
Have you ever considered having a page for general photography chat? I mean, ther are some times when I want to post something in chat which doesn't go in which camera or Q+A, but is photography related, and I have nowhere to post it; and I can't decide whether to break the rules or not?
Any advice or anything like that?

Oi! Troublemaker!!

Jack, although the General Photography Q&A Forum is called that, the byline says

"Discuss general aspects of photography and find answers to a broad range of topics."

So you can post general photography related chat stuff in there and you won't break any rules!!

OK I will, but I'll explain further what I mean cos I am still not sure. I mean, all the things on there are relatively dedicated or technical. All I wanted to do was announce that the headteacher(s) at my school liked my photos of that play so much they said "You've just landed yourself the job of official photographer, we'll get you to do everything, and will be paid accordingly"! This does not seem the kiind of thread that should be there, and I feel some users might be annoyed that it is just clogging upp, and so I thought maybe put it in chat, but that says "not photography related" so...

I think this is something that could go in general chat as it is more an announcement, but with this sort of news I don't think anyone would mind where you posted it. General chat or Q&A's!
