Being a new member to this forum I've finally got around to posting my first few images in the members gallery. I understand the benifits behind holding back member gallery privaledges until a certain (admittadly small) post count has been met, however I think it would be a nice idea if, upon signing up to the forum, an individualy was able to provide a single image, to serve as part of their introduction.

I feel this could help to function as a good "ice-breaker" and help to start productive discussion with the new member, making them feel more at home.

So is it possible, has it been tried before and what do other members think!?!

I can see where you are coming from, but I suspect the software might not support this idea. I have no doubt that the Admin had good reason to set the site up in this way, but your idea will prompt a discussion around this issue.

Hopefully! I understand there could be some technical issues but I think it would be a really nice and relevant way to join the community. Maybe through discussion we could find a possible solution.

Bit confused, as you have the same privileges from the moement you register as you do a month down the line If you load a shot in the gallery, yo ucan then copy the code withtin the UBBcode box & just paste that directlt in your thread

Flockheart, I am not sure what you mean as there isn't any with-holding of member privileges at all. When you sign up and have registered your membership with the confirmation letter, you are completely free to avail yourself of all the facilities. Nobody here gets special treatment... at least none that I am aware of and I have been here for about 5 months and not had any!

So, go ahead and post your images.... and if there are some special privileges I want some!

Hey sorry if theres been some confusion, I was under the impression you didn't have the ability to upload your own photo's to the members gallery until you had a post count of 10 or more?

It's been too long for me to remember since I registered, so took your first post at face value. It seems that you can upload images immediately.
