"Reply to thread" Notification emails
I have returned here and after a couple of days posting again it is just now that I remember this point and how it had previously driven me away.
The "reply to thread" notifications do not carry any of the message which I find very off-putting and, perhaps strangely, makes it less likely that I will engage in a thread after I have commented . Most phpBB boards and vBulletin boards carry this feature so why not include it here? |

Re: "Reply to thread" Notification emails
The content of the notification emails is not included as the purpose of them is to alert you to a reply in a thread that you have shown interest in or have already posted to (depending on how your personal options are set). If you are still interested in keeping up with that discussion then you are able to view all content by following the included URL or visiting the thread(s) in question.
It's difficult to understand how a feature that is designed to help actually has the opposite effect and is driving you away however there are no plans to alter the way it currently works. You may enjoy the site more if you just disabled email notifications.
