Re: East of white sands

The mountain scenery has some lovely coloured layers in the mountains.

But but but - that last one has something else - the wavy grass - the colours and the bird in unusual position. Almost a clip from a movie of a bird soaring away from fire.

It really is something outstanding.

Re: East of white sands

Thanks fellas,,, that snow picture is good in the morning good. There it was as we headed north out of Los Cruzes, just up the road behind a big hill. The Crow picture is a mix of Luminar (Macphan) and Topaz Impression. I had 4 versions on the picture it self. When I came up with the background colors and grass I picked and mask in an earlier version with good detail in the feathers. Luminar is available in PC now. It is the same kinda of set as Nik exif 4 pro. Luminar has different filter adjustments and After all the versions I copy with my clean picture, I am learning which filter adjustments to go for. Whats nice is you can open IR Raw files and convert them to tiff, I really like that remembering the days of what would happen if Adobe stopped support,,,,,,,"And They Have along with apple".

Re: East of white sands

Thanks, happy you like um'. That Crow was hungery and taking everything the wife thru out the window. We were in a desert park, it was pretty empty. So I stopped at a nice spot and grabbed my 1D with my 24-105mmL. Perfect, the crow as letting me get with in ten feet. The crow just hopped along and I ripped bursts as it flew. I wanted it to fly straight up and back over to my wife, it just stayed close to the ground. These crows were different then the ones I have around home. These act like clowns and acted like we were just food.

Let's hope you cross paths again Boofers if you are in those parts again.

Re: East of white sands

Well, thought I would weasle in here sence I haven't been posting to many pictures. As for the crow it is just north of my favorite route out west to the "ocean". I love the Desert and love the ocean even more. Have been taking pictures of the grandkids, almost the whole load, only missing 4. That means 10 young ones and a few teens to run arun like little indians. This is my time to practice my cameras and lenses. When I need to sharpen my habits I put everything down but that. That is my 50D IR kit, i have my manual Yashicas in there, they are so bright so practice I say. Turns out that the little 42-75mm f3.5/4 took the prize. I had a 28mm f2.8. A 35mm f2.8 and the small 42-75mm. The oldest boy is a soccer wonderboy. So on down the line to the younger ones, he keeps the busy passing the ball. The girls are little and run all over and try to be like their older brothers. It takes some work to go in and out of shadows with these lenses, but the older boy kept me happy with his soccer kicks. Cheers,,, I used my color and my 830IR cameras and will post soon. I am try'n to get a new roof on my house.
