Fantastic scene and image, Colin. I like the natural layering in the composition.

Re: Fishing House, Connemara.

Thanks John & Chrisa This is the page of a book I did a few years ago, you will notice that the margin on the LHS is slightly wider this is to allow for the binding of the hard back. I printed it all myself on A4 matt paper and got a firm of bookbinders in Belfast to hard back bind it with a gold leaf title.
Colin.

Here is another page, Sorry to say both these old characters are now deceased.

Re: Fishing House, Connemara.

Thanks Jake. Unfortunately it is neigh impossible to get "Old Character" shots anymore as they all seem to have died off or else I can't find them. They were brought up working outdoors and weather beaten now the new generation are brought up in air conditioned tractor cabs and no longer weather beaten.

Andrew lived on his own never married or travelled, as you can see the ground which was his farm is not very hospitable cur he kept a few small cattle on it. He was very well read and intelligent and his land had some lovely sea views from which he sold quite a few building sites so he had plenty of money, but never changed his way of living the simple life and was very happy.

That sound like an idyllic way of life and people like that are getting few and far between.
