Marsh Fritillary & Common Blues.
More from late May.
First my first photographed Marsh Fritillary...on a cold and windy day. ![]() Marsh Fritillary – Euphydryas aurinia. Taken on Canon 50D with Canon 100mm F2.8 USM Macro Lens. ISO 400 F6.3 1/320 Natural Light. Which then warmed up on my hand before flying off.. ![]() Marsh Fritillary – Euphydryas aurinia. Taken on Canon 50D with Canon 100mm F2.8 USM Macro Lens. ISO 400 F8 1/200 Natural Light. A couple of male Common Blues (I think that's what they are anyway - not too hot on blues). ![]() Pair of male blues. Taken on Canon 50D with Canon 100mm F2.8 USM Macro Lens. ISO 400 F4 1/500 Natural Light. Finally another one posing on a stem in front of a yellow flower. ![]() Common Blue on seed head. Taken on Canon 50D with Canon 100mm F2.8 USM Macro Lens. ISO 400 F5 1/250 Natural Light. All bar the hand shot taken on a tripod.

Re: Marsh Fritillary & Common Blues.
Thanks - I like number 3. What slightly frustrates me with it is the fact that despite a large number of shots I failed to get the completely in line. The d**m wind never let up, and my burst shots failed to get one completely in the right position.
