Re: Connemara B&W.

I am probably not qualified to comment as I myself am about to post my first B&W, I don't find it easy to get it right. My only comment is that I think the foreground could be a bit sharper, but hey it could be my old eyes. It certainly has that punchy feeling.

Re: Connemara B&W.

Thanks Scotty and Chrisa for comments appreciated. About the foreground this is all moving water and therefore will not be sharp.
Colin.

Re: Connemara B&W.

Like this. Like the moodiness that's well brought out in B&W and its a beautiful view. The water is just about right for my taste, not static but not looking like cotton wool but, as always, what truly should represent flowing water is always a matter for debate

Re: Connemara B&W.

Thanks Jake, I agree about the water, I am not keen on the cotton wool effect myself.

Re: Connemara B&W.

I like this one Colin, for me the eyes go to the water coming through the gap and the middle distance, so I feel the moving water in the foreground is sharp enough. As for vignette, mmmm maybe a bit in the bottom corners but not the sky as that is moody enough. A grand image Colin and good conversion to monochrome.
