Best Accessory: Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod - TIPA Awards 2007
The innovative design of the 190XPROB allows photographers to quickly switch the tripod’s centre column from a vertical to a horizontal position. This is important for macro and nature photographers, and previous versions required the centre column to be unscrewed prior to horizontal placement – a time consuming process. This new model allows the switch to be completed in seconds, and there’s also a refined leglock system to further improve use in the field.

Re: Best Accessory: Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod - TIPA Awards 2007
I've the 190ProB legs (non X model) and they are pretty heavy, I didn't go for Carbon legs due to me thinking the price hike wouldn't be worth it for the amount of times I'd be actually use it...
...What do others think, is going Carbon worth the extra? |

If the things are too heavy, I'll never take them anywhere

IMO yes.
This what happened when I bought a 055PRO......it was just to uncomfortable to hike around with finished up selling it and purchashing one of the Gitzo Basalt range which is lighter and no problem to carry. |
