Canon today has released new firmware for the EOS 1D MarkIIn
This firmware update (version 1.0.2) includes the following improvements:
1. Fixes a file-numbering error that occurred during Bulb shooting. 2. Improves the brightness of the LCD monitor. 3. Fixes mistakes in the Russian-language MENU displays. This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware version up to 1.0.0 installed. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.0.2, it is not necessary to perform this update. That has to be one of the most minor updates in the entire history of firmware.

 Smart ass!Actually, the screen is already adjustable to ridiculous levels of brightness, I'll have lost my ability to speak Russian in the morning anyway, so the only possible issue is the file numbering error in 'B'. Manyana I think
