Colour Confidence, the leading independent colour management specialist, has today announced it will be showcasing X-Rite's new EZcolor with Eye-One Display 2 bundle at this month's Focus on Imaging exhibition. Designed to replace the previous Monaco EZcolor and Optix XR package, the new bundle offers a simple but effective entry level solution for a complete colour managed workflow.

The EZcolor with Eye-One Display 2 bundle will be the first solution to carry the new X-Rite branding following the company's acquisition of GretagMacbeth in July 2006. As the product integration process continues, further rationalisation is expected along with the eventual discontinuation of the GretagMacbeth and Monaco brand names. "Naturally we are disappointed that we can no longer offer our customers the EZcolor and Optix XR bundle", comments Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director of Colour Confidence. "However, we are pleased that X-Rite has replaced this package with a quality solution at a comparable price. The strong reputation of the Eye-One range will also offer increased consumer confidence, and we predict a bright future for the EZcolor with Eye-One Display 2 bundle".

Eye-One Display 2
The Eye-One Display 2 is a sophisticated yet simple to use monitor calibrator. Operating with Eye-One Match software, it creates high quality profiles for consistent, predictable colour, and offers Easy and Advanced modes to suit a variety of users. An Ambient Match setting allows users to adapt profiles to different lighting conditions, while the before and after option is an instant way to view results. Suitable for use on multiple workstations, the Eye-One Display 2 is ideal for studio environments.

EZcolor
Award-winning printer and scanner profiling software, EZcolor is a user-friendly solution that does not require a separate reading instrument. Using a flatbed scanner and the IT8 target provided, users can profile their entire system in as little as ten minutes. Simply scan the target to calibrate the scanner, and print and scan a set of test patches to create an ICC profile for the printer. EZcolor also features profile editing options for greater user control.
