Post Kingston SDHC 4GB card

Press Release
Kingston Technology, the world’s leading independent memory manufacturer, today announced the launch of its new Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Class 2 card.

Although identical in size to the standard SD card, the new SDHC cards will be able to handle the huge levels of images and data that today’s digital cameras and MP3 players are capable of delivering. Moreover they are designed to work with the latest SDHC compatible devices that support MPEG-4 and high quality video compression, commonly found in consumer HD and DVD videos, super VCD, box top DVRs and digital television.

The Secure Digital High-Capacity Card is a new standard set by the SD Card Association, the industry body responsible for defining SD performance classifications and capacities. Based on this standard, the SDHC cards can deliver capacities beyond the 2GB threshold of present day SD cards, offering three speed classes (Class 2, 4, & 6). This guarantees minimum sustained transfer rates to support large digital video recordings for optimum performance.

SDHC cards are only compatible with SDHC host devices and manufacturers currently offering host cameras include: Canon, Pentax, Sanyo, Casio and Nikon. Kingston Technology has also added SDHC compatibility to its popular 15-in-1 Card Reader.

Kingston Technology’s Secure Digital cards are 100 percent tested and backed by a lifetime warranty and 24/7 live technical support.
