This Working Life LDC Photography Award 2007: Call for Entries
Entries are now open for the LDC Photography Award 2007 which will offer bursaries to 12 student photographers from HE colleges and universities in England, Scotland and Wales.
Now in its third year, the award's brief is to produce a body of photographic work interpreting contemporary working life at companies chosen by the sponsors LDC (Lloyds TSB Development Capital). The 12 student photographers will work to on site, giving them a valuable opportunity to produce striking and evocative imagery from a given brief, and the student with the best series of work will be awarded £1,000.
As part of the project, practising photography professionals will also lead photography workshops for employees at selected companies across Britain, encouraging them to interpret their own working environment through the medium of photography. Employee participants will be invited to submit material to a special category of the competition.
Work produced for the project will enjoy an exhibition tour of over the summer, and a photographic exhibition will also showcase entrants' work.
