Post Longridge to release new mounts, boards and blades Focus

Press release:
Longridge has lots to shout about at Focus this year with a number of new mount cutters and accessories planned for 2007. These include some major additions to the mount cutter range that are under wraps until Focus while some other smaller but no less important innovations have already been announced.

The blade is core to any good mount cutter. Without an excellent blade, all the bells and whistles and clever extras are useless, so Longridge has introduced its own bespoke blade, developed in association with a world renowned, UK blade manufacturer. Head of the design team, Christopher Longridge said “We are delighted with the design and performance of the new blade. Cutting technology is advancing rapidly and we work hard to make sure we keep up with the best the industry has to offer.

“The new blade has a cutting edge that stays sharper longer and also ensures that cutting accuracy and precision are as good as we can make them. The blade, like everything which carries the Longridge name is manufactured in the UK. This way we have much better control over quality than if we imported this crucial component.”

Also new for 2007 is the Longridge SprintMat, a section of laminated board that encourages the blade to continue in the straightest line possible. Another British innovation, it provides the ideal base medium for the new blade to cut into. Together, Longridge believe that the new blade and the SprintMat represent a significant advance in mount cutting technology.

Only a few weeks into 2007, and another introduction from Longridge is their new multilingual DVD included with every Longridge Mount Cutting System. The DVD explains in detail how to cut a professional quality mount easily and accurately using any of the Longridge Systems and also gives lots of ideas on how to develop interesting mount designs.

Longridge will be announcing a number of new products on its Stand at Focus, F29 in Hall 9.
