Opera 5.x, Opera 6.x, Opera 7.x, Opera 8.x, and Opera 9.x.'Highly Critical' error.
A 'Highly Critical' error has been reported by Secunia in the Opera Web Browser versions Opera 5.x, Opera 6.x, Opera 7.x, Opera 8.x, and Opera 9.x.
If you use the Opera Web Browser, you should upgrade to version 9.24 immediately. It seems that Opera is prone to an arbitrary code execution vulnerability that surfaces when Opera is configured to use an external news reader or email client. Specially crafted Web pages can cause these external applications to run incorrectly in conjunction with Opera. If a user has configured Opera to use an external newsgroup client or email application, specially crafted Web pages can cause Opera to run that application incorrectly, In some cases this can lead to execution of arbitrary code.
