Plustek release three new Film Scanners

High resolution film scanner now offers you with enhanced Multi-Sampling and Multi-Exposure for more quality images...plus iSRD feature for dust and scratch removal!

The Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI, a 7200 dpi film scanner, now brings you a more powerful scanning device with its added hardware Multi-Exposure for negative film, Multi-Sampling functions, plus iSRD (Infrared Smart Removal of Defect) feature provides superior quality photos which easily outperform other professional film scanner in the market today.

The package comes with SilverFast 6.5 AI Studio (MultiExposure) iSRD software and 35mm IT8 calibration targets for professional users. The SilverFast 6.5 AI Studio (MultiExposure) iSRD software provides enhanced powerful function such as Multi-Exposure, IT8 Target, Auto Adjust, USM, NegaFix, Selective Color Correction, iSRD (Infrared Smart Removal of Defect), SoftPrint, plus many more.
(For more information, please visit SilverFast: Scanner Software and Software for Digital Camera and Imaging :: LaserSoft Imaging).

The OpticFilm 7500i AI is an ideal film scanner for photographers, and SOHO that offers high quality images for magazines and other printed materials, photo enlargements, brochures, digitizing slides & negatives, web pages, as well as images to share with friends on the Internet, and more!

To minimize noise, the Plustek multiple sampling function makes 4 scans during scan time, since the noise patterns changes each scans, the image is averaged together and noise cancel out if inconsistencies are present. See the photo below of a normal scan and Plustek MULTI SAMPLING scans.

What is iSRD?

iSRD stands for Infrared Smart Removal of Defect, which is a combination of hardware and software solution to automatically eliminate minor flaws, such as dust and scratch, using infrared channels. It brings a new dimension in defect removal technologies.

Two modes, automatic and manual, are available. In automatic mode, SilverFast iSRD operates completely on its own, applies corrected result to the entire scan frame. In manual mode, the user can select certain area(s) to work on, and leave the rest untouched.

With defects removed, SilverFast iSRD does not soften or blur the scanned file and it provides the user with an enhanced genuine image.

This details the Opticfilm 7500AI. This, and details of the 7500i SE and the 7300 can be found here - Plustek
