Post Urban Disguise and Digital Holster camera bags

Press Release:
The Urban Disguise range is for photographers operating in vulnerable environments, carrying thousands of dollars worth of photo equipment can be an invitation to have their gear stolen. Given the size of most gear set-ups, it is increasingly difficult to keep from attracting unwanted attention. To aid in lessening this threat, we have released a new line of shoulder bags—The Urban Disguise—in six sizes designed to allow you to travel in style while still protecting your valuable equipment from prying eyes. Urban Disguise bags are intentionally designed not to look like camera bags, thus allowing you to carry even your larger lenses and laptops into potentially perilous settings. They are specifically designed for Digital SLRs and for holding the bag close to your body.

Also check out our new Shoulder Harness. With its contoured shape it is designed to convert your briefcases and shoulder bags (including the Urban Disguises) into backpacks.

Join us in protecting photojournalist freedom-- Every single day thousands of journalists take risks to keep us informed. To support their efforts, we are dedicating a portion of Urban Disguise sales to Reporters Without Borders. According to the organization, "Think Tank is dedicating a portion of the proceeds from the bags' sales to our international organization to show its support of press freedom and concern about the dangers facing journalists. By buying Urban Disguise bags, reporters will not only treat themselves to some great camera bags, but also show their solidarity with colleagues around the globe who risk their lives daily to get at the truth. Funds raised on behalf of Reporters Without Borders will help the organization pursue its activities in support of journalists, and improve their safety."

Sometimes all you need is one digital SLR body and a lens and for this there is the Digital Holster designed just for that purpose. Its expandable bottom section (illustrated by the red arrow on the product image) allows it to hold lenses of two different vertical heights with the hood in position or with it reversed! There’s also a side pocket for holding memory cards and a soft flap to cover your camera’s LCD. It comes in five sizes, so that you can carry anything from a small DSLR (e.g., a Canon Rebel XTI, XT or a Nikon D40, 50, 80) in the Digital Holster 10 to a pro-size DSLR (e.g., a Canon 1D Mark II, III or a Nikon D2Xs, D2Hs) in the Digital Holster 50.

Need hands-free use? With the Digital Holster Harness (sold separately) you can wear the Digital Holster directly on your chest for hands-free use and easy access.

For more information on these and other products go to the ThinkTank Photo website.
