Dod Walker, Dunfanaghy.

I liked this composition with all the horizontal lines, wall, water and sand etc.
Comments welcome.
Colin.

Good enough to hang on the wall that one, Colin.:thumb:

Drawn into the picture by that big sandy beach, by the look it feels like a good walk. Nice take.

Thanks Boofers, glad two members liked it. The way things are here at present it will soon not be worth posting at all.
Colin.

Doesn't work for me, I'm afraid - it's the composition that mainly spoils it.

If it hadn't been for your last sentence above, I wouldn't have made this post; I normally look but if I can't honestly post "love it", "well seen" or whatever I don't make a comment. Look perhaps at the number of times a thread has been viewed rather than the number of replies?

Stephen, You don't like it, that's OK with me everybody can't like the same thing. Just a pity you did not say what you felt was wrong with the composition and then I could have taken your post seriously .
Colin.

Re: Dod Walker, Dunfanaghy.

Colin, I didn't bother because I anticipated the usual reply of grab shot/no time for careful composition/couldn't change my viewpoint etc. that usually result. Given that you generally don't have time to choose a viewpoint or moment, any comments on why a different position or angle would have improved the result (and, most importantly, why) would be irrelevant.

As a matter of interest, do you take seriously the comments from people who say that they like a photo without similarly giving reasons?

Stephen, I am not even going to try and answer a daft question like that. We are here to enjoy ourselves.
Colin.
