Not usually one for centrally placed shots but this works well! Great first upload!

Re: 1st go and new to this site
First congratulations of getting a picture into a forum at the first attempt
![]() A couple of coments re your picture. Not a bad attempt however there is a bit to much forground grass with nothing in it and I am not that keen that the top of the tree is missing. The other thing is that blubell right in front of the tree trunk. As it is nearly the same colour of as the sky it looks at first glance like the tree has a hole in it. The good thing about digital is that you can take lot sof pictures and experiment however you still need to look carefully at the image in the viewfinder before pressing the shutter. Look forward to seeing some more from you.

Re: 1st go and new to this site
I am glad you added that Belongins as I was worried you had a problem with chromatic aberration (fronging around areas of high contrast) as the tree has lots of that against the sky. However, having done this with a mobile phone camera, most of which have a tiny little lens on, I think you have got a very creditable shot from it.
You definitely did the right thing to get down very low and shoot from the level of the bluebells. I think I would have actually moved that highest flower right in front of the trunk as it is a bit distracting. Without it, the main focus would be on the darker and stronger coloured flowers on the right which stand out nicely against the green of the grass and then are complemented by all the bed of bluebells that spread across the picture from there. Well done, a good effort there. Keep going, you've got at least a couple of weeks before the bluebells are gone so I am sure you can get some other good shots in ![]() Cheers, Rob
