Aaargh I've turned into a plane spotter!
A business meeting on saturday at a hotel overlooking the runway at Heathrow has had a serious effect upon me. Upon leaving the meeting, we noticed a whole carpark full of plane spotters and photographers. Our Turkish web tech who we'd flown over, nor his wife could grasp why these people were there looking at planes and taking numbers... To be honest we struggled to give our visitors an explanation :?
Anyway, ever since, I have been pointing my lens skywards. Hopefully it will wear off and I'll return to normality soon

You should turn your lens towards a few planes which deserve capturing forever!
Go find some WWII and cold war birds, then you'll have images with a story behind them. I'm looking forward to the airshow seasons this year 8) |

Best get this out of my system in one thread
Here's some proper jumbos from today. Upon showing them to my ex-BA/Virgin pilot mate who i co-run another site with, he says 'it's interesting to compare the Rolls Royce engines of the BA747-400 to the General Electric engines of the NZ 747-400, Airlines can choose either' .... No, it's not interesting, I'm yawning already. ![]()

Great 747 pics, and it's interesting to note that they both have the flipped wing tips and so are recent models (no I'm not an anorak, I watched something on Discovery Wings a couple of days ago about the 747!)
