Re: Abbey
Sure wish I could waste time as productively as you, Fiona.
This shot has a lot of "depth of interest" - by that I mean the arches draw me into the scene. Makes me want to explore. Like it bunches. I believe I could do without the top portion (top RH corner), however. - Paul |

Re: Abbey
thanx Paul, yep i know what you mean about the top corner, but i didint want to crop it down too much and risk lose the top of the bottom arches.
Many thanx! ![]() Fi |

Re: Abbey
Commented on this in our Show and Critique this week but it's a good composition here Fi, you have let the arches and uprights do the work and not tried to force the image. It has worked very well.

Re: Abbey
This is a great shot, really well converted to B&W, like it loads
You could maybe lose the top RH corner but nitpicking really. Great!! |

![]() Really like this image, the way you look through the arches to find another level of detail. I don't mind the top right so much, but think the small detail in the top left arch could do with cloning out. Overall an excellent shot. |

Re: Abbey
Hi Fi
Quite a good shot. My eye focuses on the left foreground arch, travels around to the right arch, and the archway forces me into the next level of arches, the center column and they beyond that into the far bg. The eye can't wander until it has soaked up all the levels centrally, then follows the arches outward. Outstanding composition, among other things. wtg, Fi skip |
