I definitely prefer Angel with her clothes on! Nothing wrong with putting it on here David as long as the subject title has a warning that it contains nudity. There is nothing pornographic about this image, we get lots of topless photos of this kind so don't worry.

I have to say the picture doesn't appeal to me very much but I think it is because (trying to be delicately diplomatic here) she doesn't look to have mature breasts yet so even though she is 18+ (going by your title) it is less appealing as a shot. If you hold a piece of paper up at this shot and hide her body, she looks like a mature adult (which works great in that 50s shot you did) but if you hide the face and see only the body and breasts, she looks like a young teenager: therein lies my problem with it.

I think the lighting is not as strong as it could be, the definition of shape is not clear so her left breast doesn't have clearly defined form. The dark areas are a tad too dark so overall it needs a bit of a lift. The crop is very tight at the top, her hair is touching the top. There is nothing at the bottom part of the photo so I think you could easily have moved up slightly and lose a touch at the bottom. If this is a crop, maybe you can do that with the original and give a bit of space at the top edge.

Models often specialise in certain things because they have a look which works in that genre. In this case, I feel this lady is best for clothed glamour shots and even for non-glamour clothes shots as opposed to nude/semi-nude modelling.

I have to agree with Rob here, nudity does nothing for Angel and she definitely looks better with her clothes on. She has a great look and focusing on her face and the 50s image will do much more for her.

Yes, she looks like she is about 14/15 years old which does take away from the nude aspect of the photo.

I am glad she got what she wanted but just to make the point, we are not critiquing customer satisfaction but simply the image as put in front of us. Judging how happy the customer is with the picture is your job

These are my pure comments without having read the others yet.

First, according to the guidelines of the site, it is perfectly ok to post nude images in the critique section if the appropriate caution is in the title. They are not to be posted anywhere else, but can be posted in a private file in your gallery, where noone else can see them, and then copied onto the critique section.

Your focus is very good. But the lighting could have been a tad better. The right side of Angels face is too shadowy. A reflector would have been a good idea here.

I am not sure about the pose either. Her left elbow is cut off, and while not an image killer, it would have been better in the frame. Also, her hand on her chest looks funny. In general, one never wants to see a models hand full on the back or palm. It draws attention to the hand rather than to the model. And while this isn't full on, it also seems to be arising from nowhere and is another distraction.

Finally, there is no reason to have that material at the bottom of the frame. Angel should be totally nude for this. Her skin is perfect and you want to show every little bit in the frame.

And now, I will look at others comments and finish mine:

I am not sure if I misunderstanding skips comment above regarding the hosting rules for nudes. If I am I will apologise in advance, however it is perfectly acceptable for ftmftm to host his image elsewhere, its only when hosting nudes at Pixalo that they must be in a PRIVATE gallery here. That is purely to prevent them appearing in the 'recent shots, random images or general gallery sections'. It allows us to keep the site 'work safe' and not force nudes to be viewed by members who chose not to.
