attempt at macro
![]() had a go at this macro , need some comments on when focusing as you can see my lil stamen pod on our left is focused and the lil hairy bits are focused .But my other lil stamens are out of focus ...does that matter , and also any suggestions that you think may help me .Thanks look forward to comments Last edited by chickadee; 15-04-2007 at 21:35. |

Hi Sue
My own preference in flower macros is that I would like to see the petals mostly in focus and sharp focus all the way down the throat of the flower. So a bit wider dof would be in order here. skip |

Sue i think you are close to getting very good results!I take a shot look at it on the camera monitor scrolled in as much as possible.then alter camera settings in small increments and only one at a time..take another shot and make another change.By taking a number of shots with a variety of settings you usually get some good ones ,as you gain experience you learn what camera settings will work in the prevailing conditions.I hope that helps ,at least with digital it dosnt matter how many you delete. David

thanks David , much appreciated ,one other little question should i have focused on a couple of the pods or the yellow little thing in middle of flower or is it personal choice ?
