Re: Baby Brown Eyes.

what a lovely expression. it is such a shame you have lopped off the side of the head.
i would also be tempted to crop the bottom of the image as i feel the arm leading out the iamge at the bottom is very distracting and takes the eye away from what otherwise is a very pleasing image.

Hi Bella.

I agree with Fi's comments. Also, the figure in the background on the right should be cloned, and a shot from a bit lower angle might be interesting.

You did well to capture the look of the baby. Good job.

Re: Baby Brown Eyes.

I love the look on baby's face, that's the picture for sure. I am not sure whether this is over-balanced towards red or whether baby had just come out of a warm bath. I would just knock the colour back slightly to lose the redness as it is a bit strong. I have adjusted it slightly just for comparison, see what you think. I also cropped just a touch off the bottom to stop the forearm dominating the picture too much.

Beautiful baby and love those dark eyes.

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Baby Brown Eyes.

Thanks for the comments Fiona, Skip and Rob.
Rob thanks that looks much better, Baby was a little ill having just had his injections the day before, But pulling the red down did the trick. The crop as Fiona suggested also looks better.
Thanks heaps every one.
Skip I wanted to keep the image of mum in the background as this shoot was based on the closeness of mum and baby, and it was requested by the mum.
Cheers
Bella.

Re: Baby Brown Eyes.

Bella....Robs fix pretty much did the trick, but the other thing that bothers me as I look at the image is the corneal reflections, just to the right of the light reflex. Perhaps a window or something. Easy fix in ps (I think)

I did have a look at that too Skip, I agree entirely. Unfortunately, the removal of those reflections whilst keeping the eyes looking good was not as easy as it might seem. In the end I decided to leave them as was. To get them looking right, the only real way would be to have another picture of this lovely baby with eyes that are not showing reflections and clone them in.

I could have done something with them but in the end they were best left. Having said that, someone is now going to pimp this and make those eyes look perfect and me look a perfect idiot! Oh well, if they do then great, I just felt this baby was so lovely, I didn't want to mess him up!

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Baby Brown Eyes.

Hi Rob

I guess I know it isn't easy....I tried to correct a reflection in Sasha's sunglasses, and couldn't do it well.
