Back lighting
Had a go at back lighting which threw the canon metering into a wobbly, but there ya go.
What I want to know is, is the position/angle of the butterfly about right? I have room for manouvre on this so I'm open to suggestions.

Re: Back lighting
I agree. The OOF part of the flower + BG are distracting, and the butterfly looks sharp enough for a closer crop, and yes great lighting on the little critter

Re: Back lighting
Lovely backlighting. Shame you didn't get more of the flower in focus as the comp looks great as is - but the brimstone looks nicely detailed
Still not seen many butterflies this year, tho' they seem to be picking up with the warm weather |
