Sold all my glass to buy a Nikkor 17-55 2.8 .... took this while playing with it
and I quite liked it !

Yes I like this it has impact could you clone out the tv and hard light on the right and remove the white thing onthe settee then it would be perfect all the same i do like it Must try one asap

I have been thinking about that lens to replace the 18 -70 kit lens on my d70, which I am beginning to dislike. What do you think about it?

It's a pretty decent shot considering it was taken at 1/10th second. The TV and thing on the sofa don't bother me at all, they blend into the picture quite happily. If one had to go then maybe the TV reflection but no worries with the item on the sofa.

My main surprise is why you needed to use 1/10th of a second. You were using 400 ISO, you had a light on the wall (looks reasonably strong in the reflection) and there are lights on the Christmas tree so I would have thought you could get the shutter speed considerably higher, at least 1/30th or maybe 1/60th second.

That's a side issue though, the photo itself is fine and an interesting way of doing a self-portrait.
