Beast of Bodmin Moor?
My first post in critique, wanted to know what you thought of this.
My cat looking decidedly evil, a little bit of processing, not much. I know there is one blown out area. Other than that any thoughts? ![]() Thanks, Jack M |

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
Nice shot Jack! I think, though, that I might have left a little more room above the eyes. I don't think it needs much but a little would stop it looking so top-heavy. I know with animals you have to be quick and shots of them are often opportunistic but if you'd been a little lower and got slightly more eye contact, you would have had a corker of a shot!

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
Ace shot Jack, hard to believe it's a domestic moggy so you have achieved your aim. I'm happy with the eyes being on the top third as it seems to make it more menacing

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
Me too. I like the crop, the focus and the lighting. They combine to give the shot the mood you were looking for. Well done.

The browns and the eyes make this shot a keeper

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
I too like the comp - unusual pose/angle and works well with the light. Maybe a touch too much contrast and I'd like to see a mere hint of detail around that right eye but neither a big deal! Nice one!

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
Great shot Jack. It actually looks slightly evil looking as it has one green eye and one blue eye (it's actually the reflections!) but it works fine in this shot.
Bet Garfield is a pussy cat compared to this one.... errrr..... oh well, you know what I mean

Re: Beast of Bodmin Moor?
looks like a Scottish Wild cat! super shot, agree a teeny amount more space above the eyes may balance it out more. butstill one i would have been chuffed to shoot! ( the picture not the cat! lol)
