Re: Bee 2
Nice vivid colours Foxes, but TBH it's too "in my face" to see it properly. Can I suggest a reduction in size + res for this critique?

Re: Bee 2
Good one I like this one foxs its the size that does it for me but I would cut the sharpness or usm back by about 20% ,
was this taken with a macro lens or a plus lens. |

Re: Bee 2
Agree with bygum (though had to wear sunglasses to read it, yellow doesn't show up well when using the blue theme!) that the picture is over-sharpened. However, I have to say the shot is a good one and all credit to you for getting detail in that close. I think the saturation could be reduced a touch but it's a strong image and the detail of pollen dust and so forth is very good.
Nice one Foxes. Rob |

Re: Bee 2
Thanks for the comments Charlotte and Rob.
Bygum, i had to change to black to read your feedback.this was taken using the 18-55 kit lens on my D 50 and a +10 screw on close up lens. Thanks for your comments. |

Re: Bee 2
Your certainly getting plenty of detail with that close-up filter of yours foxes, and maintaining a strong DoF as well. Which make is it if you don't mind me asking?
Cheers, Rob |

Re: Bee 2
Pretty good results from that combo - nicely comp'd too!
![]() Here's the not-so-in-yer-face version, on which I've also de-tuned the sharpness a little ![]() |

Re: Bee 2
How apt, Foxes
![]() You beat me to it, Mark! I was going to have a go at pimping it to a more palatable size, because I think it's spoiled at this magnification, because it also magnifies the defects, which is a shame 'cos I think it's a really nice shot. Anyway, I like yours |

Re: Bee 2
Very appealing shot Foxesbrew. Nothing says springtime like a bright flower and busy bees.
Nice revision Mark. Make the shot very palatable. - Paul |

Re: Bee 2
Thanks Mark ,Perhaps the relatively small screen of my laptop is the reason i do not have a problem with the size of my shot. However it is always interesting to get constructive input from others.
