Love the frame it deffinately needs a non busy image, only thing I can't get past is the poppy head looks a little rude

but that could just be me .......

I'm not keen on the frame, but love the image itself. Very clear, crisp, uncluttered and bright.

Interesting that the bud and those hairs [?] are in such good focus yet the stem seems soft.... All in all, well isolated from the bg and overall an appealing shot.

thanx all, the frame was me playing cos alan downloaded loads of brushes for Photoshop so i decided to have a look thru them. i havent touched the stem or the bud in anyway apart from a wee USm, thats how it came out in the original shot.

Despite looking like Shrek's hairy bum, this is very well taken with plenty of detail and lovely rim lighting. I like the idea of the frame but not the actual flower heads you have used. I think making your own brush from the head of this subject and then emulating the same idea but with this would tie it neatly together and make it a more complementary frame.

Very nice bit of work this Fi, well done.

I think that you dont need the flowers it just distracts from the actual picture that is well composed.

Agree with others, nice image! I also agree with Rob's suggestion that the border decoration would have been more integrated with the subject had the flowers used been those of the bud or something more akin to it. When coming up with ideas like this it is always useful to think it through a bit more BUT that can always be done once you see the first results.

A good idea that can be made better and implemented on other borders. One to explore Fi.

Dunno why but I love these kind of borders. Like the ones on the Ikea billboards! Not needed but quite nice!
Not sure I find the actual image too interesting tho, and yes........yes it does.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of this border, it is a lovely idea. I just think it would be improved by using a pattern that fully complemented the main image.

Rob, you didn't suggest you didn't like the border only that it should integrate better with the image which I wholeheartedly agree with, so I don't feel you need to justify yourself.
