Re: Bird

HiFI

It isn't really your fault, but the green of his body blends into the grass and loses definition. On my screen, once again, part of his face is too dark. Gotta spyder my monitor again...hope that helps.

I am not sure here about the focus. If may just be the compression, but it seems ever so slightly off to my old eyes. If he was moving, then if you could set your cam on continuous focus that would help.

I like his look....a no nonsense bird with a mean streak. It shows. Lucky that you didn't get attacked.

Re: Bird

First off, I'd crop the dead space off the top.

2nd I'd blur + darken the BG. As Skip says, his body is very similar in colour to the BG, which is compounded by the lack of sharp focus on his body, which brings me to my 3rd suggestion: The fact that his head/neck are in sharp focus but his body is not, coupled with the actual join of his neck to his body being out of the pic, i.e. not visible, I had to look real hard to identify his body, because it blends with the BG. Does that make sense? So I would sharpen his body to separate it from the BG. Oh and sharpen his eye too, as Skip points out his eye is not as sharp as the rest of his head/neck.

Kewl profile shot ... he seems to be saying "Is this my best side?"
