Tiffany up a Tree
Come on guys.....that is just a funny title....no disrespect meant. <---- trying to deflect the comments that are sure to come.
I really didn't know whether to post this or not, finally yes. Couldn't decide if Tiffany really looked comfortable, but I thought it was an interesting shot for content and composition. And Tiff was really a good sport to climb the tree in heels! So, whatcha tink? skip

Re: Bird in a Tree
I like it Skip
The blown areas of the image are nicely out of the way leaving (if you will pardon the pun) the OOF leaves to make a good backdrop. Lighting is good too with the odd bit of sunlight adding to the effect. You made the right decision to post this one - and I'm glad that you did.

Re: Bird in a Tree
This is very funny. There have been only 20 clicks and one comment with the "Bird in a Tree" title. So I changed the title. We will see
![]() But I still like the original title. It just was not a "draw". Dab.....thank you for the great comment. skip |

Re: Bird in a Tree
I really like this skip, looks like you and the model had great fun and thats what its all about, lighting and pose are great, the only thing what i don't like about it is the models skin colour on her left leg and under her left arm pit, it looks dirty, i know it will be the light but maybe a quick fix with photo shop, but thats just my opinion, Great picture anyway. Re: Bird in a Tree
what do i think? i would have brained you with the heels had it been me!
![]() anyway this is a great relaxed shot.. although yes she does look uncomfortable you are getting away with it simply because it is in a tree and she fits so well with the branch. I am being really really picky here but one thing that i am finding the more i look at it is the little tiny bit of darker branch in the RHS bottom corner......... clone it out and there is nothing left to distract. well done one of your best shots for sure Skip! and a bigger well done to Tiff for having the guts to do it! lol Fi |

Re: Bird in a Tree
LOL, interesting title (yes, I know you were having fun so no comment about calling a woman a 'bird' - but whoa betide you when Charlotte sees it
)I think this is a fun image and evidently so which means I doubt anyone would take it too seriously. The model was very accommodating to go to all this effort and clearly lighting was a major problem. Having the light behind her has made it hard to keep her looking right without completely blowing it and this would be hard to avoid, even using an ND to reduce it a touch would not work as it would still make the subject too dark. The only part of the lighting that is a genuine problem is the blown highlight along the side of her right leg. One suggestion, as this bit is making her lower leg look a bit big anyway, try cloning the leaves over the highlight and making the edge of that the edge of her leg (hope that makes sense). It is a touch too tightly cropped, I'd have prefered a bit mroe space around the girl, especially near her left foot and hand. I am assuming you went this tight because of trying to cut out as much of the bright BG as possible. The focusing appears a touch soft but this could be the compression. Certainly the left hand is out of focus which is a shame but doesn't detract too much. All in all a fun image which would never get published in a mag but will bring a smile to most who view it :o) Cheers, Rob
