Birds at Dusk
This was taken at Lymington in the New Forest. I was just about to get in the car when I noticed the sun was creating some stunning colours. I walked up to the top of the town and by the time I got there it was like the sky was on fire! I took a few shots leaning my camera against a lamp-post as I coud only get a slow shutter speed.
Suddenly this flock of birds flew up from the building and I just shot away hoping to get something atmospheric. This just proves that blurred subjects can work to great effect at the right time. Hope you like it. Cheers, Rob

Re: Birds at Dusk
Love the movement of the birds. Now if could clone an in focus clock face on ot the shot , it would be perfect

Re: Birds at Dusk
Yup, I agree. I wish I had taken a static shot just of the building to nick it from as it would have been good. I left it in though because it had a glazed front which reflected the colours of the sky so felt it added to it.
Oh well, can't have everything I guess

Re: Birds at Dusk
Nice effect, Rob. Have you tried one with the building blurred, too? Mind you, if you did, I guess everyone would just think it was a blurred shot that did not get binned! As you say, you can't win them all.

Re: Birds at Dusk
Surely that gives you an excuse to go back and do it again, possibly with a tripod.
