Re: Bre
You've certainly captured her lively, fun nature here Liljj. The facial expression and hand position would be much the same if you had caught her topless such is the look of surprise! I am not sure about the hair being cropped at the top and even the sides could give us just a little more space around them. Is this as the shot was or did you crop it to this? If the latter, I wonder if we could see one with just a touch more space around the whole shot?
Interesting and different, well done ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: Bre
I like this, made me smile and feel happy! Nice picture and shows the lady's effervescent nature very well. I like her eyes, full of mischief and life. Nice one!

Re: Bre
LOL, it all just adds to the quirky nature of the shot which I am sure reflects her personality to a T
Great fun, Rob |

Re: Bre
Yep, this is a fun shot, made me smile the second I saw it
Makes me wonder what her excitement was about ... maybe just won the lottery, as if she's saying "what, me!"I didn't mind the crop 'til I looked more closely at her hair at the top, which does look a little odd on a closer look, and I started imagining that she was hanging from a tree by a topknot. For your first attempt, I think you did a smashing job |

Re: Bre
If your pp skills are up to it, you could quite easily clone some of the background over the top of the hair to re-shape the top of the hair so that you have a complete top of head within the frame. (lots of use of the word 'top' in that sentence, sorry Rob [English teacher?]!)
This wouldn't be difficult to do to make it look natural and would 'rescue' the shot (thank goodness for digital when you need it, Eh?) Have a go! |

Re: Bre
liljj323, technically it looks fine to me : Good colours + tones, well exposed, subject is sharp + BG is blurred but identifiable, i.e. all the right ingredients
) It's just the crop that's a bit tight, that's all + something to think about next time ![]() If your pp skills are not that great yet but you want to see what could be done with this particular shot in pp, then you could offer this image up for "pimping" + let others have a go at fixing the hair thing

Re: Bre
Very good capture of her personality, and a good idea (if it was an idea) for the pose. It looks like (from the catchlights) that you used the flash, and I have to say I think the exposure here is excellent, cos there is a lot of detail in the subject, and a good amount in the background, so neither distract or draw your attention in a bad way. You couldn't tell that flash was used really (no harsh shadows or colour cast). The only things I would tone down would be the lights in the sides of her eyes (the pink bits), and the bright spots on her tongue.
Well done, great job
