Re: A bright idea
Ok, first impressions....
A bulb, a chain, a coin and a scrumpled bit of paper.... I am trying hard to find the link that holds this all together. As it is, it is a still life shot of things that don't relate to each other, at least as far as my mind can work it. The bulb is standing up but actually it is defying the laws of gravity as bulbs don't stand up unless they are in a holder or lamp. The image isn't telling me whatever it told you when you put it together. If you can remember, was there some kind of link you were trying to forge between these four objects to get the picture saying something? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. Cheers, Rob

Re: A bright idea
Well.... It doesn't hold like a really deep meaning, but to me personally it holds meaning. It says alot about me and my life. I reached a new point in my life at that time, which was like a bright light out of darkness(Coming through with the lightbulb), then there is the coin and the crumpled piece of paper(Which is actually a South African R20 note) represents the constant struggle of everyday things(Trying to get money to go out with etc.) and lastly the chain..It's my past and my present. I wear chains etc on a regular basis, but deeper than that, it is the things that holds me to my past, as there is always some or other bond that keeps you connected to my past.
But anyways, I can see why this image does not hold any interest to you, as it is more of a personal image to me. Christiaan |

Re: A bright idea
Try useing some Christmas lights with some color next time you get into light bulbs, I personally think clear light bulbs are quite photogenic.
I Remember your last one with the green color cast to it, it was a very nice setting. |

Re: A bright idea
Thanks mule for telling us what this picture means to you. I saw it all differently and was way off from your feelings/meaning. I saw a light bulb and money to represent the cost of lighting that dang bulb in order for us to have light and the chain representing how we are chained to forever paying for that light.
