Re: Butterfly
For a picture with this much detail, we really need to see a larger version in terms of filesize. This is 90kbs which is very small for a photo that is 800 pixels wide and the level of compression is pushing out the lovely detail in the butterfly and flowers.
Can we see a less compressed version Fred? Cheers, Rob |

Re: Butterfly
Like this fred! Perhaps, if you can without losing too much detail, it would be worth cropping so that the flowers and the butterfly fill the frame?

Fed, my I suggest you leave the original when you make a change so that people can comment on the difference? It will encourage more people to give you helpful feedback

Re: Butterfly
Thank you all for your comments. I had already cropped it quite a bit, as Ray mentioned its not easy to get close to them. I guess I need a 100 mm macro...

Re: Butterfly
Fred , I find macro very hard mainly because the dof can be so narrow/small ( not sure of correct term here). The wings are nice and sharp but the eyes which are damn close to the wings are not. I also find white flowers incredibly difficult ,exposure can be a nightmare. Difficult subject here and I reckon you did good but my main nit would be eyes not sharp
