Carly
Done this with Carly on Saturday, got lots of good pictures, was after something a bit different, I like the look of the sun coming throu the ceiling and the ray shinning on Carly.
Carly has modeled for me twice, she is 6ft and a great body and i think she will do very well in the business. David

Re: Carly
Nice, with a few issues:
- I feel it is cropped a little too close to her feet - but I also feel there is a little too much space around her - I also think a teeny bit more DOF would have been good, cos the background is slightly to easy to make out, that it becomes a little distracting. Other than that, great, exposure is good, and nice to see some new ideas with modeling! |

Re: Carly
I'm not as enthusiastic as you about the ray of light David. It cuts through the model and looks like an accident rather than an intention if you know what I mean. It also isn't a clean straight ray, it has an angle to it about halfway down. If she was positioned a bit more to the left so that the ray had a spotlighting effect it might work, not sure.
Overall, the picture is a bit flat because of the difficult lighting but I totally agree about the model, she has an excellent figure for modelling and I am sure you got loads more to show us. This first one will be loved by some and disliked by others, it won't be unanimous but hey, that's par for the course in this field so why worry :o) Let's see some more without the ray of light to see a contrast. Cheers, Rob

Re: Carly
Hi David
I am sending this prior to reading the comments. Absolutely love the pose and the setting. Seeing a beautiful lady in the trash or construction setting is great. However, as opposed to you, I think that the sunlight is distracting, cutting her in half. It would have been better, I think, if the ray would have been either to her left or right, and her arms and/or legs interacting in some interesting way with the angle of the ray of light, which in re-looking, they actually do here. I know that you have a ton of shots in this setting and will show them somewhere (and let me know where!) cheers skip |
