Interesting shot, Fi, but I think that there is too much detail lost in the shadows of the trees.

Also, I think that I would crop it either left or right to the edge of the canal, to throw it off balance and give it more interest.

i agree about the shadow. but unfortunately its that deep i cant seem to bring it up any cos there is no detail in it to bring it up and i didint want to clone it out cos i would have had to clone all hte shadow......... i think if i cropped it to either side it would lose the perspective

Just lifted the heaviest dark areas a touch as it was rather too dark. I can't lift the dark area to left FG as it has no detail in there, just black. But the rest has come up and has more detail now. Personally I don't think it should be cropped, I'd leave it like this but I can see why some would go for a bit taken off.
