Some of my models are girls I just walk up to and ask, give them a business card and ask them if they want to pose for me to give me a call. That way it doesn't seem like a come on, also there are studios all over the uk which have models on their books. Others contact me for portfolio shots doing.

Same as me. Get some (in)decent cards made up and hand them out - for every 10 you give out, at least one will generate a call-back.
Just don't give them out in night-clubs when you're p1ssed! Cokin don't yet make a beer-goggle filter... |

I have been meaning to reply to this since it was posted but each time I have ended up getting distracted. I like the pose and the lighting for this shot, your high key post production also appeals but what I keep noticing is another forward facing “ghost” face almost over Cheryl’s but slightly to the right. I am guessing that you have placed this there but I can’t understand why or what you where trying to achieve?

House.
Actually you are all correct now that you have said that but with the lighting on her face falling like it does and the shape and position of her arm it fooled me into seeing a "ghost face". I find it quite distracting, maybe some editing could rectify the situation? |

Gary's lighting for these girls really bugs me (Sorry Gaz
) I know You like the high key effect, but I'm not sure whether it's all down to lighting or raising the levels selectively , but you're losing just too much detail for my tastes.

I have to agree with CT, lovely girl, good pose but the lighting does her no justice at all.

Hmmm, all comments taken onboard. The lighting is set like this because this is what is wanted. Model portfolios and index cards are shot in this fashion at the request of the model agents. (Usually to hide any imperfections etc). I would also add that when uploading the images in black and white there is so much loss of quality.
Cheers for all the feedback. |
