in the course of trying to get a completely different shot, i discovered this one and was completely won over by it although Im not sure why...........

Hey, I like that too. It's by no means a perfect shot technically, there is a bit of motion blur and lack of depth of field and the cropping is a bit tight on the face but you know what, it doesn't matter a jot here.

This is chock full of character and should be enjoyed for the delightful picture it is without getting too hung up on the details. Great shot Fi

Yeah really like this one Fi. Good conversion, and the black background suits well. Technical issues don't really matter, and aren't even that 'bad' in the first place. Good one Fi

Nice shot, I don't mind the motion blur at all, in fact I think it helps bring some life to the shot. Not so convinced about the black background, crop works well for me.

This is a great photo. Personally I love the motion in it. I think the crop works well imo. I think I would have just touched up the skin blemishes a tad as I found my eyes drawn to them a bit (no disrespect to the model of course - it's a very close up shot)

well i have just checked and double checked and he doesnt have skin blemishes....lol he has freckles
